From ego to soul

Nefs is the Turkish word for “ego”, with its origins coming from Arabic. Nefs Journey is the journey we all take throughout life. From the moment we are born and fall under the veil of amnesia and forget who we really are, to developing a sense of self as a child, to waking up to the realization that our nefs has suppressed the mystical part of us called the soul, which is really the truth of what we are.

Today the energies of planet Earth are shifting rapidly and we find ourselves in the midst of the biggest global awakening humanity has ever seen. It is coming in waves, affecting all of us at different stages in our lives. As we wake up to the truth that everything is one and that the currency of the universe is unconditional love, the ego itself is given a new perspective in our eyes. Yes, the ego wants to dominate and control and scream when it is displeased, but viewed from the lens of unconditional love, we can see it as a child who is deathly afraid of being left behind in this new world paradigm. Can we not love this child, soothe her, and remind her that she is safe?

Your ego’s job is to keep you alive in this human incarnation, and it will create any thought in your mind or feeling in your body to achieve that purpose. Fear is its currency. It has been there throughout all of your lifetimes and it is waiting for you to fully integrate it into your being along with your soul.

If you are reading these words chances are that you are physically safe, and indeed many of us today are living exceptionally privileged lives. The Earth has finally evolved to a point where many of us can reincarnate to heal our soul wounds and help the collective reach higher levels of consciousness and awareness. There is no need for your ego to fear that the unspeakable acts of terror waged against your soul in past lives will repeat themselves. This requires that you remain conscious in the moment, talk to your ego like a gentle loving parent, reinforcing that it is okay to speak up for yourself. It is okay to shine your brightest light. In fact it is highly necessary for our collective evolution.
